Regional Network

We facilitate connections between Youth Voice Groups (YVGs) in Tāmaki Makaurau through running events for our members to attend. From light-hearted get-togethers to more in-depth discussion gatherings, we provide a space for rangatahi across Auckland who share the same vision to network and share their experiences.

Regional Hui

Our Regional Hui are run quarterly. They are hosted by a Youth Voice Group, and supported by Auckland Youth Voice. Open to all members of any Youth Voice Group in Auckland, it is an opportunity for rangatahi in the youth voice space to meet each other, share their successes and challenges, and have meaningful discussions. Through our Regional Hui, we hope to foster connections between groups, and encourage collaboration of events between groups. It is also an opportunity for youth in Tāmaki Makaurau to learn more about our community's needs and wants, as we often invite speakers to share the amazing work they do in the community.

Leadership Forums

Leading members of YVGs are invited to our Leadership Forums to discuss topics around managing Youth Voice Groups. We have touched on topics such as sustainable leadership, recruitment, and members' wellbeing.

Leadership forums allow higher-level conversations around operating YVGs, and are opportunities for aspiring leaders of the groups to gain skills around looking after YVGs.

We facilitate workshops that touches on specialised skills in the Youth Voice Group space and context.

In the past, we have delivered communications workshops where experienced Youth Voice Group alumni touched on social media, event promotions, local media relationships and more.

Award Evenings

We run award evenings to celebrate the hard work and success of Youth Voice Groups and individuals involved. They are meaningful and inspiring events that celebrates the collective efforts of rangatahi to make a positive impact in their local area. We recognise and acknowledge groups that have completed powerful projects, as well as individuals who have contributed hugely in the Youth Voice Group Space.
